Author description

Charlotte Cotton is an independent curator of and writer about photography. She was previously the curator and head of the Wallis Annenberg Department of Photography at LACMA and earlier was curator of photographs at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Martin Harrison is an independent curator of and writer about art and photography, as well as one of the foremost scholars of the artist Francis Bacon.
